In 2001 year they had the chance or recording their first CD with the name of "Sur Caribe Con To', 2002. EGREM". Many important musicians participated in this phonogram such as Jorge Leliebre (flute player from Van Van and Pedrito Calvo who was accompanied by the Band in one of the most sounded hits of that year in Cuba , El Sábado es Sensacional". (Saturday is Sensational) . From that CD, Sur Caribe made a turn in its work not only in sonority without changing the its essence; but also in the people's preference. The good repertoire puts them, as it is sometimes said, back in the fight with other Bands that heap up the dancing places of the Capital.
